I just saw your ApocalypsEV 1 on the Jack Daniels contest and I have to say that is a Great Idea.
I have a couple of question for you, Do you have a idea of the finished weight of the unit?
How long will the Solar Panel to take to charge from dead?
Have you calculated the range, speed, and battery life?
I also have an idea how you could possible fast track your project if your interested.

Weight 1200lb
Charge time from dead ~ 24hours however we are working on an optional 480watt solar trailer that would reduce it to 6hours
Range = 20 miles with shown AGM lead acid batteries and 40miles with upgraded NiCd
Top Speed = 40mph
